VOIP letters as Caller ID

Hello, does anyone know how configure CLI route to display letters instead of digits?

it will not work
as i remember letters are not allowed in the standard, only digits.
there was extended standard, but it was not very popular among operators.

Where is call termination ending? If recipient is using same CLEC, whatever you configure in outbound extension options of Asterisk/FPBX should display. By default this is set to the From header which is used by most systems. If you wish to change this, you can select Remote Party ID (RPID) or P-Asserted Identity (PAI). Note, this is a 'preferred' setting only - if you select RPID or PAI and DO NOT send a value in one of these headers, it will usually fall back to using the From header. If you're talking about going from VoIP to POTS/PSTN you're damned to confines of CNAM migration (at least in the US/CA) which can sometimes be alleviated by superficially entering the CSRM of ILECs via LNP or similar workarounds

This is outside the realm of my regional expertise. members such as gliderexpert or Veil would be qualified to answer this, as the best i could do is guess

it will not work if CNAM is not supported in the region.
as i wrote earlier it is not good strategy to spoof callerid by symbols (it will not work for most operators, will not work for all phones).
