How to bypass cert pinning?

I am using mitm proxy with mitm cert installed but an app im trying to log requests on is giving me this error

Client TLS handshake failed. The client does not trust the proxys certificate
how can I bypass? do I need to reverse the apk and remove cert pinning then rebuild or is there much better method> ?
