Botnet scan ?

hello, if there is anyone with experience in iot botnets, or attacking linux servers, I would like to know what other method I can use to infect machines with malware that is not using brute force through ssh, or some protocol, nor using exploits, and what so feasible is to put a server to scan ip ranges and then try to access them by some method, if anyone wants to help, welcome...
