this particular case is just pathetic though. seems like a kid that found it cool to run a forum, without much actual knowledge

Personally lost the last bits of respect towards him once it was revealed he had CP on his personal laptop. Seemingly didn't even realize that having content like that on an unencrypted personal device might be a retarded idea.
this so sad to have something like CP.. a lot of people they was having respct for him
his failure at opsec and holding cp is now his legacy along with whoever he took down along with him
even with the encrypted disk, if caught, there are those who will sing like a parrot. It is difficult to predict how one will act in certain cases.

I personally know some darkweb drug dealers who were busted and they simply didn't opened their devices.
So their entire case passed very light ( compared to how it could pass if cops did opened )

Lot of people need to learn this, when you doing this type of activity, you need to avoid Google, Google is just a big honeypot make by the US. I recommend to use encrypted mail, and a secure email client.
But the most important things is to avoid US product, like Microsoft, Google services... Because the governement can access anytime to all the data.
