Not to be rude but I struggle to understand how you see this as proper conduct in negotiating business. Not only is this approach antithetical, it is objectively inadequate, subsequently unbecoming....
On a brighter note, however, this can all be remedied by doing due diligence and adjusting approach to take things more serious, perhaps.
