It's not possible except you don't have a 0day for notepad.exe ( As far as I know only Tavis Ormandy of Google's Project Zero team was able to find an RCE on it); the article's image is very misleading.
Most you can do is try to mask the executable and make it appear as a textfile by editing the icon and it's extension (.txt.exe).
