How did @getfb_bot work?

getfb_bot is not working ,does anyone know how it worked,getting fb id using phone number

I'm not sure but usually these things work by retrieve access using phone number or by finding friends by phone number (share contact list)

probably it also leveraged the facebook data leaked some months ago, where FB ID and phone numbers are available (even if numbers date back to 2019)
