Well around 4hrs ago I was on twitter... Kespersky labs better known as Kespersky Antivirus which is ran by a russian group of cyber security professionals who remain unbiased in terms of politics.
The breach is unconfirmed but I'd suspect a rise in malicious software going undetected for a good period of time, Regardless if or if not the breach has occurred the simple fact of NVIDIA + Samsung's breaches
puts a major risk to a lot of users.
Hackers now will have the ability to bypass Bio-metrics, Disable protection features among other things on Samsung based products alone. However NVIDIA's breach posts a bigger risk to those running closed-source operating systems such as Windows. If Kespersky was breached NVIDIA's GPG Certs used to sign malware will become a major problem if Microsoft doesn't implement patches to block the now-expired certificates which would be used to sign malicious software. This can mean a lot of problems for those running windows which by comparison is the largest desktop operating system by a global means, NVIDIA supplies some of the largest technolgy to pretty powerful companies, However the owner of said group was doxed for unrelated reasons.
Given windows takes forever to update normally and requires lengthy reboots to install software updates it becomes a problem for those in workplaces where the system has to be ran non-stop to prevent issues which may cause massive issues: i.e Hospitals, Schools, Factories, etc with this being said many of these workplaces do not update. I Worked in a place that ran windows server 2008 aka Windows XP service pack 3 (End of life: 2014). Some offices even run programs for windows 98 which is well over 24 years old. Despite many not running NVIDIA 1050 GPUs some may run lower end GPUs that no one really hears about outside of the normal everyday tech talks. Let's be honest no hospital running Windows Server 2019 with a NVIDIA 3090 GPU.

I don't side with either nation but I enjoy toasting people who refuse to stay out of a conflict they shouldn't be a part of.
