I have 100+ pos throughout the USA with admin access and back server - they all useless. Everything I understand is encrypted, nothing can be sniffed, only a small number dumps from specific pos can be recovered. I did hear something from a long time employee connected to NCR - it was you can reverse the encryption placed on the trans.log file by running it through an earlier version. I've never tested so unsure if it is true.
