Prevyet comrades! I am a software engineer and security engineer with about 7 years of professional experience primarily in web apps and Linux. I know a lot about programming and security, but all from a whitehat perspective. In fact, I currently work on that side.
So here is my question: for experienced black hats out there, how would you recommend a software engineer find work as a blackhat? Are people with strong dev skills sought after in the blackhat world?
My skills are primarily: Programming (Python, JavaScript, Java/Kotlin, lots of others), Linux Systems Administration, Network Administration, web app pentesting, and data engineering.
Currently, my regular job pays well. However, I have always been fascinated by the blackhat world and I really want to make the jump. So I'm here soliciting your advice on how someone with my boring SWE skillset might go about that
Any advice is appreciated, thanks a lot!
