Have you ever used Tails? Why to use snapshot? Tails clears everything once the machine is rebooting, no need using any snapshot!
And is not recommended to use Tails over VM!
To answer to @josefibo the safest (and recommended way) is to install tails on a USB stick and boot it from there. Nothing is saved on HDD, everything is encrypted and erased once you unplug the USB or reboot the OS. You can even use it on a laptop without HDD!
