Disable OS detection, script scanning and traceroute options (do not use options -A nor -O)

Avoid, if possible, UDP scanning (option -U)

Slow scanning speed by using the -T option: -T2

If you are doing port scanning, --scan-delay might be useful: --scan-delay 1075ms
