Is this a combo list? or logins to opentable.com?

On Raid Forum, there has been a lot of speculation on the OpenTable database. Those who checked the database claim it's a combolist mostly compiled from Collection#1 data.

Это фейк.
Не от ТСа разумеется, и не от хакеров, а от бедолаги Vinny Troia. Как у него слили, так нам и отдали.

Могу ещё накидать обоснований, но лениво, достаточно просто посмотреть на данные:

grep ':"ik@hotmail.com"' opentable.txt | wc -w
186
1@mail.ru
46626

I have read the same! seems like the data is just combined from Collection 1 or something could not reset any email myself! so weird tho

Yes breach would appear fabricated, none of the emails existed on the password reset

yeep! seems it was just like a sweet lies to the public! poor guys who bought it back then LOL

The guy says he bought it for $500, LOL. But does that mean all the databases stolen from Vinny Troia are fake and fabricated?

I wouldn't say they're all fabricated but many people traded fake data with Vinny and Vinny didn't check.
I have Singlesnet, Yanolja, RoadTrippers, Minube, Eharmony and they all appear to be genuine.

I have this feeling that Troia didn't have original databases or he heavily edited these databases with mixed data and allowed those guys to steal it so he can trace their origin. Makes sense?

Yes it does. i do agree with you.

I was the bargain shopper who originally paid $500 for this.
He was not happy with me leaking it though, and after I asked him about the quality being worth $500, he responded with, "I would have refunded had you messaged me about this issue . I do not have the time to review every piece of data in depth . Instead you did the foolish thing . That is your fault "
I never expected or asked for a refund, but I guess it is good to know he would have if I asked him. I assumed Empire had a no-refund policy.
I didn't know much about him, and I wasn't trying to step on people toes, but I thought leaking it was justified at the time.
I wasn't trying to step on any toes, but I think he got upset because the quality of it being tied to his name can't be great for business.

Thanks for the details. So as long as I understand this is not actually the OpenTable database. Also, I just tried to create accounts from several email addresses leaked in this database and none of those accounts are registered at OpenTable.com meaning it lets me create new accounts on those email addresses.
