This may be a little far fetched but is it possible to hack into x ray screening devices via close proximity such as a wireless devices connectivity device or Bluetooth? Such as a shipment or baggage passing through the screening with a device somehow connect to the screening machine? I'm currently working on a project in doing so remotely via insider access please let me know any good ideas or suggestions. Or I will hire anyone with experience or help. I am new to this but much needed to my business. Will pay x-xx,xxxusdt for useful dvice/help

There are ways but what you are looking for is hard to achieve. If the machine is connected to a network for transmitting images to remote operators, it becomes a node on that network, so you can read about "war driving" , you need to be very good in packet analyzing and have deep wireshark knowladge. The point is to look for vulnerable/weak bluetooth or wirless connections and to place a beacon in between that is going to pair automatically when getting close to the x ray, but again that requires you to already have found the method to implant in the beacon. Some months ago I was reading some articles about pixel exploits that could trick the machine to buffer overflow. What you are trying to achieve worth way more then xx,xxx for anyone that might even dare doing this.

I have never done it nor willing to do any of this things as it can be considered an international threat.

As far as my knowledge goes, that would not be any different than any other network devices, most common x-ray equipment uses Wi-Fi / WLAN on standard 802.11, some of more specialized ones using point-to-point standard for more stability and lower delays in the connection. For the enumeration I would recommend analyzing available PACS/DICOM, web UI, SSH/FTP ports, inventory knowledge would not hurt either (model, make, firmware used, serial number and etc). As well as knowledge about used switches for TAP / SPAN sniffing. As far as RF frequency scan goes you can check which frequencies are more occupied during the scan, but you would only need it if the scanner use proprietary ways to communicate, therefore no other option of interaction available, but that also would involve other equipment and advanced knowledge in wireless signals with somewhat pricey hardware for it. Keep in mind that most of the newer x-ray scanner signals are encrypted or might transfer information only over the wire (there goes the switch enumeration knowledge).
