If we use Threema or Session with Tor and VPN, is it a reliable way to communicate without being tracked, and what other OPSEC errors can we still encounter?

Threema is a paid app, and even if you plan to use their open web client, you need to have an account on Android or iOS devices and buy Threema from app stores or directly from their website. They offer several options for making purchases, including credit cards and bitcoin, but I doubt that you would not leave any transaction traces. It's not advice, but if I had a choice between these two apps, I would go for Session.
