GSM Tracking GPS for routing the traffic to another server

hello everyone , lately i bought a gps that works with GSM,SimCard to answer and trace the location .
ofcourse every gps has its own server to send the response back to it

there are some commands that can be send to the sim card so the gps will react to them and send the response back to it server

i have access to the sim card .

is there any way that i can get the response back to myself instead of the main server ? any sniffer or scripts that can do this done for me ?

if you have any idea or resources i will be greatfull

Can you share the device type or some type of identifier? so i can let you know how it exactly works before i give you a definitive answer?

But yes you can, you would simply need to patch the default firmware your GPS uses and override it with a custom one.

well , i dont know the exact name of the gps but its for cars
it uses sim card and GSM
it has its own server set up and i can not change it by myself so i have to use its own panel
im trying to create my own server and make it mine so i can trace it by myself not the panel that is set for it
and by sending messages to the sim card
it will locate the gps and shows the location in its panel
it has a imei code that should be scanned by the owners of the panel


so i will be glad someone would help me create my own server and make it mine

Is it one of those cheap chinese GPS? You have a specific sms command that sends you back the location both on the app or via sms as well?
If so, the only way to do that would be to reprogram the firmware itself as far as my understanding goes, you will have to write your own firmware or modify it to send the data to your panel instead of using the one that it comes pre configured with.

To be honest I am not very sure how you would go about it, I have never really dabbled with hardware reverse engineering, but hey, google is your best friend, you might just find something useful or a PoC where someone might have already flashed a custom firmware and you can take help from there.
