A few days ago I have come across a little disturbing service advertisement.
The service stating, there is a free trail for new users and newcomers from our forum.
ofc I replied positively and asked for a free trail because I need such services.
I was met with an "go to our website and ask the support for trail"
so I went.
The chat was interesting to say the least.
first I was asked information like how I got to the service.
but when I reached a support agent (Turns out they need an actual person to give out trail)
He said I should remove my VPN.
on what I replied "what for?"
he stated to make sure there is no abuse of trails. (I am sorry but this is a bullshit excuse)
I am certain this platform intends to deanonymize our community.
now the question is does this void any forum terms and condition ?
is it considered legit advertisement of such platforms on this forum ?
At the end of the day, I find the trail offer being a little scammy and would love to not encounter such offers in a place I truly find trustworthy.
