Change of Mindset Regarding Open Source Tooling

I've noticed a change in offensive security researchers on twitter when talking about sharing tools/ research. Many red teamers are talking about keeping in-house, sharing within vetted groups of companies, etc. Is anyone else noticing this trend?

nope, but I do understand them to some degree, you have took the time to gather/collect tools, see what's working , what not etc you won't want to give it a away to a competitor, right? idk though, haven't noticed this trend, so I wouldn't know
