Hello

I currently have DJI Phantom
Which, as most of the major drone brands have hard coded in itself "no-fly zones" ( airports, prisons, bases, certain specific parts of town, specific industrial zones and so on ).

I don't think there is a solution to change entire firmware and put the one without hardcoded no-fly zones, but I am pretty sure that there are certain drone brands, probably less known brands ( some purelly chineese companies or whatever ) which don't have no-fly zones coded in them.

I asked AI already, but is useless, it also mantioned my drone as being the one without no-fly zones.

And and the product description drones are usually not being advertised with having or not having no-fly zones.

Anyone knows specific drone brand which doesn't have no-fly zones hardcoded in it ?

There is no ready made solution for what you are asking.

You need to spoof how the drone is tracked if you cannot modify the firmware.

That requires jammers, turning off sensors/transponders, or broadcasting fake ADS-B / GPS positions, flying low alt, or potentially modifying the drone itself for heat that infrared cameras will see.

All of that you will have to customize to your needs.

You will have better luck 3D printing your own drone and building one from scratch with a more thorough and logical design centered around this focus than finding anyone with one like that.

Thanks for elaborate answer
But is exactly oposite of what I was hoping to hear.

I need it for high altitude, and one time use is enough.
No need for using it more then once, just to make job done. Because the package which will carry is significantly more valuable then the drone.

There is no market for customized drones ?
Or some brands which have less strict firmware or something ?

All flight controllers have coordinate restrictions built into the firmware, few options:
1)Find and install firmware without restrictions
2)Cut the wire/track on PCB from the GPS module or wrap in foil
3)run service/debug mode
4)Use gps spoofer (during flight, emit a fake gps signal with fake coordinates, you can even attach it to quadcopter itself lol)
5)connect to flight controller via uart port and dump/modify firmware

wait, what country are you from?

Somewhere in Balkans
I dont want to say more precisely here public

I also heard is possible to 3D print the components and set it up with some RasPis to make the DIY drone. But I don't have so much skills with hardware

Would preffer if there is like black market of such drones

I heard that there are people who are engaged in flashing dji drones, but this is a complex process that requires complete disassembly of the drones with exchangeing of some ditales. Such drones are carried to war as reconnaissance drones.

Also, you can look towards fpv, but if the main goal is reconnaissance, filming, etc., totonine will be as effective as a phantom

Main goal is droping a package in one of the no-fly zones.

you can always use an optic fiber
but this will take allot of knowledge in order to assemble this. you can read the latest news about this optic fiber thingy on forbes:smile10:

In that case, just look for readymade FPV drones that do not have builtin GPS modules. There are plenty of hobbyist who make these DIY drones and sell them for a profit online, so it should not be a problem for you to find something online. Just make sure it can carry the weight that you are trying for it to carry and that it does not have a built in GPS in it.

What are the best place to start searching for it ?

There has to be some other way right? Some kind of manual overrides, unlocks, add/remove zones to the local database sort of with some payloads whatever? I mean DJI pushes updates/patches to the firmware over the air right? So...

Thanks, something interesting. Some kind of Brazilian kite fighting comes to mind.

yes bro this is what i talked about, basically total jam proof since no radio signal nor any other signal.

I found something relevant to this topic:

hey finall soemone asked this, you can install different software on a dji or make one drone yourself. its not hard.
The channel seems interesting as well.

Привет

В настоящее время у меня есть DJI Phantom

Every drone has firmware that can be downloaded from the internet - if you have any DJI firmware, you can decode it and see what method is used to send a request for the drone to shut down or something similar when flying into a “restricted area” and replace it with a request for the drone to, for example, speed up or slow down a bit or fly up or fly down.

It makes no difference - by setting a different action you will get the output that suits you for any of your actions.

If the update goes through their application, you will have to break it and there are also a lot of skillful people who do it and also through it to pour the firmware “we need”.

Many ideas and many realizations - the most barbaric is to solder a board with memory and solder your own as well with the modifications I said above. the question remains how to program it - here you also need craftsmen.
