Is uTox reliable despite its alpha state not updated since 2021?

uTox is the most suggested client by the official tox website, but it's still in apha and not updated since 2021. There were security problems in the tox library in the past, do you consider that uTox as a reliable client?
qTox seems to be not supported anymore and the devlopment is stopped

There are forks that are updated. You also need to use it through a proxy, because anyone who invites you as a friend can find out your ip

Forks with gui? It seems they are not updated too. Toxic is cli, and toxigen is 2020 updated, venom 2021, do you know other clients?
