HI Dread Pirate Roberts,

malware researchers first analyze the malware statically, focusing on the static IAT (Import Address Table), which essentially lists the functions the program currently uses. However, if we employ the IAT camouflage technique demonstrated in the video, we spoof the functions listed in the IAT. This can confuse the malware researcher because they may see different functions than those actually used by the program.
