i have little knowledge on subject... if i create wireless access points on laptops network interface is it able to get traced back to broadcaster(me).

how does one trace this

by measuring the signal power from different angles and locations. install "Wifi Analyzer" (com.vrem.wifianalyzer) or any similar app on your smartphone and try to walk closer and further from your wifi router, you'll get the point.
and then realize that cops have much more advanced equipment than just a smartphone.

yes, it is called BSSID in wifi networks.

BSSID - Basic Service Set Identifier, it's the MAC physical address (radio interface) of the access point or router, so yes the feds can trace back to your router
