This post is a totally personal opinion, but I wanted to share it here with you, whom I have had (and still have) the honor of calling brothers, comrades.
We have all seen what has happened with breachforums[.] I have the utmost respect for the project and the initiative, which in my opinion seeks to create an international community that identifies what unites us (and you all know what it its ).
However, I think we should draw some lessons learned from what happened yesterday:
I have a special love for XSS, it has been, is, and will continue to be my favorite corner to really be me, some of you know that I also participate in Exploit and Ramp. The 3 aces, the bastions that resist against those who try to tear everything down.
And who is that enemy? The West, call it what you want, w/e. We all know who I'm talking about here. It is not a question of birth, country or nation. I have met great bros here who have been from totally different regions than mine and like many of you, I consider them brothers from another mother.
I think that is the most important thing we must remember, what unites us and makes us strong.
I want to thank all the XSS admins and mods for the great work they do every day, not only to make XSS the place it is today with the community, but also for making it, to this day, unbreakable, that we are a reference for other communities and that allows us to remain safe while we exchange knowledge and make our life here.
For the new BF projects that I am sure will try to revive it, and which I look forward to since I wish them the best, it is vital to remember the place that will allow them to be safe: Our adversary HAS NO POWER HERE.
And that is largely thanks to the fact that we know how to control chaos. I think that one of the problems that BF and its rebrands have and will have is the lack of “rules”, of some (don't get me wrong), values as a community in the sense of Do's and Don'ts.
Being everyone's enemy ultimately ends up bringing unwanted attention and, ultimately, consequences. The “East” is the only “safe” place to grow as a community. I think the only way for future BF projects is to adopt some kind of “restrictions”. At least, not bite the hand that feeds them, as a culture .
Be that as it may, it is just my humble opinion and again, thank XSS for being what it is and above all, more importantly, for allowing many of us like me to be what we would never have been able to be without this incredible community.
Please, stay safe, all of you. Dont make missteps and take good OpSec.
Although we have differences with other communities, we need all of us free and ready to do our thing.
Today more than ever: My country is XSS. And long live to the fallen
