из всех брендов считаю самым оптимальным цена-качество это MSI. Советую смотреть модели под твой бюджет и выбирать.
подборочка глянь, понравится, не дёшего но твои потребности будет пару тройку лет вывозить не заморачиваясь
considering it for VM, i will suggest you to buy a decent miniPC (ThinkCentre tiny) and installing ProxMox into it. So you just need to access it remotely via WLAN (android tethering or use embedded 5G GSM).
benefit:
- it will always turned on when your laptop is overheating or the OS being unstable because of very long uptime.
- you can have a several VM for particular tasks and using it remotely from your laptop
- by separating the heavy workflow to the miniPC, you will have a longlife on the laptop cause the laptop temperature is very low (only used to remote the VM)
- its compact and it will fit on backpack when you have a flights.
- you can put the miniPC as a 24/7 standalone device in your hotel rooms and going outside with the Laptop while still have a remote access using WireGuard via VPS
- of course you can have a much upgradeability with it. put 64gb RAM and 2TB SSD
- regarding the price, if you are on tight budget, buy a 2nd hand cheap ThinkCentre Tiny or SFF (Small Form Factor). if not, get a ThinkStation P360 Ultra-mini tower
- additional Lenovo Portable Display might help
