If AI can write code… why should I learn to code?

That's a very good question, you are right AI can write code but what kind of code AI can write ? the simple answer is simple to medium code such as scripting tools some UI and front end stuffs. Ask GPT tell them to write for example a simple OS like TempleOS where the OS size only 16 MB that's what I call art coding unless if AI can implement new algorithms (need strong understanding of computation and mathematics) make a design architecture make scientific discoveries till then we still need human intelligence, creativity is the key

and what happens when the AI becomes a lunatic and doesn't understand what your actual vision is, and goes wild and does bullshit (which often happens) !

you can technically build a house with AI… but without knowing why things are structured a certain way — architecture patterns, SOLID principles, separation of concerns — you're stacking bricks without foundation. it might look fine until it crumbles under the first real change request or scale challenge.

plus, how are you even gonna debug it when it breaks? if you can't read the code, or worse, don’t even know what's missing, you're at the mercy of a tool that doesn't care about maintainability, performance, or long-term sanity. AI is a power multiplier, not a replacement for foundational understanding.

learning to code is not just about typing syntax, it’s about learning how to think in systems. that’s the part AI still doesn’t get. and if you don’t either… you’re building tech you can’t control.

Yes i know that, but in a next future i think it will also be able to do that, in the end it fucks jobs-opportunities and big companies are now daily firing their employees because AI is replacing them.

я пробовал писаь код с помощью AI и не смог. я потратил кучу времени и нервов, ругался с ним.
нет, он не может если ты не пожешь и не понимаешь.

я желаю научиться, я пообещал себе что возьму отпуск на несколько месяцев и научусь коду.
попробуй ка написать что нибудь с помощью AI :D :D
я разбил экран нескольким компьютерам на нервах! нет, поверь мне , он не может

можно отдельную подборку создавать моих чатов с ним где он пишет так как будто я понимаю, а я не понимаю, и я просто допускаю тупые ошибки изза этого.
без базовых знаний никакой AI не поможет!
 
AI did not get to the level where it is building a full website, of software for example, it will do it in pieces. Let's not forget that AI is made by humans, a human will always be necessary no matter what. Coding will never die nor go away, but salaries already dropped a lot because of it, indeed many jobs will fall and disappear, but still, humans built all this and humans keeps on updating it via code.

So yea, you do need to learn coding if you want to know what you are doing, maintaining or working with.
 
because AI still writing unsecure code also AI coding is good for whitehate but when back to blackhat coding AI still in 2006 so you still need to learn programming in case you want to be a programmer not a copy paster
